Noticed lots of bib hidden at various spots around bagshot and lightwater in surrey. Then suddenly they all boxed in a white astra and I then saw them talking to the male driver.

Now I am sure he was a major criminal, hence the need for 4 marked cars to block one lane of the dual carriageway, but did you then need to all just stand around chatting, whilst creating traffic chaos?

Anyone else see it or know what was going on? Male driver didnt look at all concerned with being pulled.

Nope, clearly they should have just shot him rather than explaining what was going on. I can't believe anyone would think differently!

Was it just a training exercise?

There was something similar shown on the TV last week - 4x Volvo Traffic cars and a Mondeo 'Bandit' car driven by a plain clothes Trafpol officer. The Volvos boxed in the Mondeo on the outside lane of a dual carriage way to bring it to a stop.

The guy in the Astra was obviously an unmarked delivery driver for Krispy Kreme. Why else would they make such a fuss?

"Stephen Waldorf, a 26 year old film editor, was shot and severely injured by Metropolitan Police officers in London, England on January 14, 1983, who mistook him for David Martin....

Martin was rearrested shortly after the shooting, but hanged himself in prison in 1984 before he stood trial.....

Police officers John Jardine and Peter Finch stood trial for Waldorf's attempted murder and attempted wounding, but were cleared of all charges in October 1983."

So a happy story then? Why does the last paragraph not surprise me?

Why 'attempted wounding'?
I would have thought the wounding ( if it was) was complete.

I'm confused - what's the definition of attempted wounding, if it's not pumping 5 rounds into somoeone's head?

...and being cleared of doing so????!!!!

Oh ok maybe it was that might explain what was going on. Have to say they did a good job of threading those volvo barges through the tight rush hour traffic.
