Previously read a topic, piston head bought a blue Gallardo for Lambo Birmingham which had scissor doors, anyone have an idea where to get such a thing done from and any prices?

thats awful. why would anyone do that to a ferrari, who have no history of scissor doors?

in fact, when you think scissor doors you obviously think of ferraris biggest rivals, lamborghini!

enzo must turning in his grave!

Speak to Richard Good at KW - their company also make the LSD doors. Doa search on KW Automotive of LSD doors.

WTF?!?!?!

Ya bunch of old beardies! :P

It looks awesome!

Scissor / butterfly / flash doors look great no matter what - that's why they're continually popping up on things like F1's McMercs, Enzos etc etc etc Why should he not stick them on his nice flash car?

It's not like it's the ONLY 360 on the planet, they made bazillions of them smile (and good luck to them too smile )

there not the same as traditional lambo ones though. I did like them about a year or 2 ago. but basically its a flashy hinge thath opens the door a bit then moves it up. thats why the door is always at a slight angle when up. The proper lambo doors move up in a arc with little sidewards motion.

they look ok on a Escalades or a magnums but not really for ferraris or gallardos. Its the same as adding chrome rims.....which you either love or you hate.

I've been in italy and following this topic, but could not respond as my phone would not submit the message (aargh!).

The doors on my Gallardo are an LSD conversion (http://www.lsd-doors.com/index_e.php ) and personally I doubt that they cost £10k to install, unless it was Euros and the exchange was much better (perhaps).

It was a the previous owner who had them put in though.

I'm in Gaydon this weekend and happy for anyone to look in detail.

Cheers
Andy

Just rang them (as I have nothing better to do) lol

Company they recommend to do the install is in Milton Keynes and the conversion is likely to cost crica. £3,000.

They apparently need to cut something and repaint.....

Any takers?

The scissor door modification on the Gallardo looks dreadful IMO due to the fact that the doors don't go straight up but go out at an angle. I wouldn't have them for free. (Love them on the Murci though)
