I have 9 points showing on my licence and three are over 3three years old. Can I get these removed in any way? "lose" the paper record and get a replacement?

Will the DVLA re-apply the three points?

Me too, but I need to wait until they are 4 years old to remove.

Getting a free replacement licence does not remove expired points - some years ago, when I moved house I had some old points on my licence and sent off for a free replacement, which came back with...the expired points still on there, when I phoned them they told me that I needed to pay to have them removed! more revenue from speeding.....cnuts

They're ripping you off! They took my points off when I changed address for no charge. Bstards.

Out of interest, what happens when you get a 6 months ban because you have 12 points on your license? What happens to the points? Do they all clear, or what? Or do you keep them all?

Just curious.

you get your license back with the convicting court number, date of conviction, offence code (in the case of a 6 mnth ban is:- disq s.35 r.t.off.act 88),the disqualification period and in the points area it says 00....also it has the date of sentencing.

your license is returned clear of points.

and before you ask,yes i have been there!!!
