I'm thinking of using a bike to avoid the tube this summer. I don't want to have to get it on and off my mainline train so I'll just use it to get to and from work and Paddington.

Question is, will it get nicked left locked up every night and weekend? Has anyone else done this? (I plan to lock it up over by platform 9/10, with a decent D-Lock)

Are there still loads of bikes there? If so, I'd assume it'd be OK if it doesn't look too flashy. Remember to replace any quick release levers with normal bolts or the fancy secure quick releases you can get.

I work just next to Padd station - there are still loads of bikes there, so if yours does not stand out too much, it should be OK

I've left my bike at Paddington for 5 years now. Somebody nicked my mudguards once confused but apart from that nary a problem. Use a couple of decent locks and you'll be fine.
