My huge new book just arrived.

Where is the best place to get CS3 from? Should I get a friend who is at Uni to buy it for me and get the stoodent edition?

I've got the CS2 version of that book and it's excellent.

Sorry if this is a repost, but it only takes a minute to sign this online petition for over priced software, because we live in Europe. We are paying 190% of the US price fgs!

That said, i think the upgrade is around £160 if you have an existing copy of PS.

Ah, in that purely hypothetical situation, i'd say one would be stuffed!

Does the student version give full functionality, or is it cut down? Also, I can't see how a US version would work not ok on a pc over here - might be worth considering.

Considering the official selling price of Lightroom, that 30-odd quid I spent on RSP is looking more and more like a bargain (given that I got a free copy of LR out of it).
