Im looking for a ball park figure on insurance of a Westfield or Tiger kit car. It will be a limited millage policy. My details

Age: 23
NCB: 2 years
Miles: 5000

If anyone could give me a guess at a quote for a 1.6 - 2.0 car it would be very much appreciated.

Im trying to work out if running a shed and a kit car would be realistic over a standard hot hatch.

Thanks

I'm sure that a couple of the specialist brokers do online quotes for kit cars - try Adrian Flux - that way you can run a few options through without spending hours on the phone.

AS far as i know engine size with some insurers does not come into it. I am with Footman James.

When i took the policy it was £300 full comp with euro cover and breakdown cover for my Tiger. Ok i was 29 years old but have two accidents and no no claims. The last accident was 3 months before i took this policy out and it was a pay out of £6150 so allot of people would not quote me.

With this type of car no claims does not mean anything with the specialist insurers and you dont earn any becuase of the limited mileage.

Insurance on my 1800 Carbon Sport westie is £500. This is with 0NCB (taking into account the 1NCB on my daily driver) and limited to 5000 miles a year. Im 22.
