Hi all, I am just about to complete the purchase of a 2006 Tuscan 2 convertible with 3.8k miles when I saw this one for sale this morning and I have to say that I love the colour and was wondering if anyone knew the car and if you think that 22k miles is a lot without a rebuild.

Have emailed the owner but waiting for a response.

Press Car eh? TVR press cars are traditionally not quite standard beasts and often have lots of nice little extras such as fancy dampers, better engine, better build etc etc . It's probably a cracking motor.

2005 speed 6 without a rebuild on that mileage? Who knows. I've not heard of any 2005 engines failing early but it might be because few have done many miles. A useful bargaining chip certainly.

He says its had a new clutch? Is it a standard TVR clutch or the modified and improved "Raceproved" version? Was the slave cylinder replaced too?

If its the TVR clutch then your worries certainly aren't over. Expect another 15-20k from a full replacement, or less if only one of the two known failure points were sorted (Slave cylinder and diaphragm spring).
