Honda have put the tickets on sale now for the factory open day, 15th July at their Brackley factory, have a look here for details and the link to the purchase page.

The Honda F1 facility is not one of the best, I would go to the Prodrive Open day...more to see and do....in addition to enjoying some motorsport heritage. Honda F1, one win, millions wasted and its going to get worse not better!

I understand the pod design did not stand up to being stranded at the docks, and that demolition is the only viable option.

When at uni I visited Prodrive, Ralliart, Jaguar (redbull) F1 and Morgan. Prodrive is easily the most impressive of them all.

Honda have a much longer involvement in motorsport than Prodrive. Apart from the motorcycle legacy whioch dates back to the 50s, they've had a number of F1 projects going right back to 1964. They always put on a good display of their historic hardware whenever they show up at Goodwood.

They're current situation is a bit of an embarrasment but that only belies their genuine motorsport heritage.

I've heard from good sources that Brackley wasn't really up to scratch compared with other facilities, specifically in terms of technology...I'd imagine that Prodrive is pretty much state of the art...Honda F1 are trading on past successes a bit too much for my liking

Ive not actually been round the main factory at Brackley but have looked round one of the satellite workshops that preps the bodywork etc and even that was interesting. Probably not a patch on Paragon (Mclaren) but will still be a decent day out I would guess, as long as you actually get to see everything.

blimey, thats lousy! Things like that give a good indication of a companies culture.

So i emailed them

Got this reply.
