Move from 996 to 997

Has anyone regreted the move from the 996 to the 997.
And any good or bad differences between them
I am thinking of selling my C4S and jumping in to the 997s the next move up IMO. I know that there's the TT but as I don't use the power in the car I have now it would be wasted on me.

Not one regret.

I went 996tt X50 to 997 S and did not regret it. Sure I missed the grunt of the X50, it is exceptionally good at 'grunt' but overall I was happier with the 997 S

Well I love my 997 2s to bits!!
Going to Berlin to watch Genesis early July..should be a blast!

No - moved from 996 C2 to 997 C2S and never once regretted it. Although I did then sit in a 996 and think 'ah - that's nice, like meeting an old friend'.

The only time I regret it is when I work out what I could have bought for what it cost to change over. But then I go for a drive, and everything's OK.

whats the point of having a porsche if your not going to use the power?
