I don't know if many of you stuck around for the Sunday night parties on the campsite last year? If so, do you recall leaving the circuit bleary eyed, with a bad head Monday morning to find most of the gas stations heading North had run out of any kind of fuel for miles around, massive queues of people pushing their cars... teacher

Anyone been on the continent recently and know about fuel prices over there?

Cheaper to fill up on the other side rather than take a full tank across?

Any one know how much fuel is in France for unleaded ? as at 12 mpg I want to know if I need to top up at Dover or wait till France. I know it used to be cheaper over there, but they probably put the price up for Le Mans week smile

Diesels cheaper in France than the UK. But Petrol is about the same. No savings to be made any more.

Also remember if you are travelling late, the french petrol stations aren't manned after about 10pm and the automatic pumps don't take English cards.

Travelled to Spa last week, Super 98 unleaded is around euro 1.50 per litre so not much difference.

Carrefour in Calais (Cite de l'Europe) now takes UK cards so if you have a diesel, fill up before going back on boat/tunnel.
