This year I bought my tickets from "justtickets.co.uk", but how do I know what area I can camp on then...

I have used those "package deals" before, where the area is clearly marked, but now I only have a camp ticket saying "Beausejour Camp"...

There are no allocated spots in BSJ, as I understand you can pitch anywhere you like within the campsite.

Theres a group of PH'ers camping towards the back of the site, your welcome to stick with us if you fancy it.

Here's the plan of Beausejour. White Rabbit Racing have 5000sqm fenced off where the x is and RochesterBMW and friends are planning to come and camp next door. It's a nice leafy spot away from all the dust and traffic so definately worth aiming for.

If you don't know where BSJ is then there's probably loads of other pressing questions you need answers to. Have a look at "The Bible" here-

Guy,

The X seems to be only 100yrds or so from the track...

Is it possible to walk through the trees to watch the race at night say?

Or is it crawling with officials keeping people away?

Have you tried it before?

Get a little away from the roads as they were very dusty last year.

Shouldn't be a problem. We a arriving at around 4ish on thursday. We are hoping we can secure enough space for a mediumish sized group of PH cars.

On looking at flashearth.com head your way the far right hand area of BSJ. You will see Guy's WRR area, and we will be somewhere nextdoor.

The more the merrier. biggrin

Does anyone have a PH logo we can use as a flag????

Well, since I'm one of the officials in the area, thanks for letting me know your plans....

Keep in the trees and we won't see you, but if you don't and we see you, then we have to do something about it. Race control has cameras nowadays and if they see you then it's my arse in a sling.

Personally I find pissed up Brits continually trying to access the banned areas a right nuisance.

Hello jobsworth ranting

Accessing banned areas is what Le Mans is about

BLAH BLAH BLAH

Look, I've been marshalling at Le Mans for over 10years,
I've told you how to do it (get close to the track) without bringing attention to yerself. Drunks bouncing off the armco or crawling on their vomit soaked bellies are a danger to everyone.

thanks for your kind comments, pissartist rofl

Until your relatives and/or insurers are looking for someone to sue and blame after your untimely and messy death or disabling injury.

Correct me if Im wrong but I cant remember anyone mentioning alchohol.... can you? If so... where?

Considering you dont know Guy or myself its a bit of an assumption to think that we are (in so many words)... drunk idiots.?!

Piglet:

Wheres this untimely death coming from?
or did you post on the wrong thread, as I cant see the connection with watching a race and having a messy death...? odd.

I would never put myself or anyone else in any danger, and dont for one minute think that guy is going to missbehave right next to where they are camping!

I think you have both gone slightly over the top, dont you?!

People know whats what... we're not stupid and dont appreciate being treated so...!

All the threads in this forum are light hearted, lets not bring the spirit of le mans down please chaps....
Look, the fact that I've been doing Le Mans since 91 as a speccy and since 96 as a marshal should tell you that I know what the Le Mans spirit is.

I laid out the ground rules for sneaky spectators...

THEN I added that those that have been on the lash all day are a pain. No assumptions made about your alcohol consumption..just pointing out what ticks me off..

Actually y'know maybe pissed up Germans and Dutch are worse than the Brits.. no wait..the brits win, cos they can call me a Jobsworth and I understand what they're saying.

see ya 1am Sunday morning (hopefully not) wink

I will hopefully be there around 6pm on Thursday, hope you can save a bit of room for me and me Corvette !! Hannah (Naughty Magpie), on of our PH East Anglia members is on Guy's WRR area so I want to get somewhere close by.

I have a very large PH banner that us East Anglia lot use at shows, but there's no way it will fit in the car with all the other stuff. So I guess the answers no ! smile
