Just having the aircon fixed before Le Mans. I don't fancy being stuck down there if it gets hot with no aircon. Also fitting new fuel pumps as the old ones seem to have given up the ghost. I should have it back on saturday as It's doing some sort of charity day.

Impressive eh?

James, I know what you mean - the hot/cold control on my heater was very stiff due to lack of use, and now I've managed to get the cable to come off under the console - so it's permanently on hot. Still trying to work out how to get under there - nasty feeling I'll have to get under the car. Still, at least it'll give me chance to look at the pedal end of the throttle - still trying to sort that out too - nigh on impossible to drive smoothly at the moment. Oh well, it'll all be worth it. I'll look out for you in Le Mans - I'm going in a friends Corvette so I'll come over for a chat if I see you.

The problem you have with your hot/cold control is what happened to mine and it was the tap that had become seized. It,s been a bugger to get hold of but if you need one let me know. The factory seem to list an electronic switch which was incorrect so it's taken some finding. Just can't wait for Le Mans......I'm like a big kid! See you down there fella!

On mine the hot/cold lever operates a tap in the front boot near the windscreen washer bottle. You could adjust that manually to get it onto full cold until you get the cable re-attached.

And if you manage to sort out the throttle please let me know how you did it! Mine is really stiff through the first part of its travel which makes low speed manoeuvring very jerky.

It was the tap on mine that was seized. My throttle is quite jerky at low revs. I remember reading somewhere that this came about when they used a RHD linkage as opposed to the original. I think it was Tony Dron that said that in his book.

bounce Result ! Found the tap easily enough and moved it. It's not seized but maybe a bit too stiff for the cable. I'll look into that. But it takes the pressure off having to sort it before winter. I can get stuck into it when I service it in the colder months now. Thanks so much for the info.
Glad it's not just my throttle anyway, very hard to be smooth with low speed manouvering. I will try various things and will report in results. I really want to get that throttle working smoothly if I can.
