DAS Advice please
Discussion
Hello to all,
I'm 26 & been driving cars for a while, but a newbie to biking.
I am taking my DAS next week, am not particularly worried (maybe I should be), and in general was looking for advice on what to do and not to do on the actual day of the exam.
From what I've been told;
Putting your foot down on the U-turn = fail (shouldn't be a problem)
U-turn is done on a hill start - any truth to this, as I've not done a hill start U-turn yet?
In general I don't think I'm that bad, but then again I don't really know that much.
I've passed the CBT and Theory test (both with no problems) and currently potter around on a 125cc manual bike.
Any advice as to what is expected, do's and don'ts would be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot
George

Don't forget to turn you indicator off after making a turn! [I believe this is one of the most common mistakes].
Try and make good progress whenever possible [within the speed limits obviously]. When I did my test I rode onto roundabouts a couple of times which I has happy with but thought the following instructor may have though were a bit tight. After the test he comments he was please with those specific moves as they showed confidence and experience.
When going round the block to do the emergency stop … don’t be afraid of doing a practice [around the corner out of his sight].
If you feel you’ve made mistakes don’t worry about it and just get on with it … when I did mine I was convinced I had failed when in fact I had only picked up 2 minors.
