PCM1 Rebooting misery

Just lately,my PCM1 has started to reboot itself every morning(it used to do it once a month).When rebooting the radio/cd doesnt work.It seems to be 'updating'the phone-cant remember the exact term.Now I dont use my PCM for phone or satnav so is there any way of disabling these so that this wont happen?
Any ideas would be appreciated.Thanks!

Do you have the latest discs?? The software for the unit is updated with each release, it may help you / your system if you try the latest kit?
