Anyone had an dealings with Race Technology? Their product DASH2 claims to be a one-stop road legal digi dash with SVA requirements such as non-resettable odo and all the warning lights. It also has some neat bits such as calculated gear indicator and GPS lap/sector timing. Looks pretty good.

Anyone had any good or bad experiences with it or the company?

Ta,
AJ.

The Digi Dash I have is from ETB Instruments not Race Technology. It's also SVA friendly and the Pro has the functions above and more......

Agree it will look good in a 7even but not sure it looks right for the Ultima.

Not sure, either. Although, I really like the functions. Does it fit the dash pod? (160.4mm x 89.8mm x 28mm) I am curious how the video overlay works.

I agree it'd look wrong in an Ultima.... but in my little Bike engined 7 it will be perfect.

I like Graham's install. But, I was not considering any panel mods other than instruments and switches.

Its 150mm x 100mm x 15mm. But I was thinking of recessing it in the dash directly behind the steering wheel, with its bottom edge as close to the column as I can get without it touching. AndI would not connect the warning lights (hide them beneath a bit of trim), instead have my own warning lights in clusters either side of the digi-dash to make its lines follow the curve of the steering wheel (and allow me to have extras like warning for the front and rear clip being open, etc...)

The stb dash looks good in the Canam, but too colourful for me. Similar to the GTW being all black, mine is going for an all dark-blue look, so the dash2 with its blue backlight fits the bill. I have to say I prefer the look of the Motec SDL, but at around £2,000 it's very, very expensive and not SVA compliant so I'd have to do a lot of work...

What about this one from SPA Design AJ - SVA compliant and blue backlights with a mapable fuel gauge + a few other bits.

It's £900 give or take a few pence but you will need to speak to them because it comes as a 160mph speedo and the 200mph is custom made, they didnt charge any extra. the contact at spa was tony taylor, not sure if he is still there though.

That's not too bad. SPA has an office in the States. I purchased their electric AFFF system and quick-release steering hub with electronics; top-notch. Thought about the dash. Since I am getting close to needing something, perhaps it's time to revisit their offering.

Sorry to reopen this old thread, just looking at the pics, good job! clap

Just a question...does the lack of air vents pointing at the screen present you with a problem with misting up etc?
