driver training with walshy (carlimits)
Discussion
I spent yesterday with three mates at a driver training day with Carlimits- http://www.carlimits.com. I've known Andy the owner for several years from my elise ownership so when the chance came up to go along and have some fun in the 996tt i jumped at it. It's been almost two years since my last track day as i never tracked the tuscan and this was the first chance since owning the porsche to have some safe fun.
There was 1 fairly standard s1, 1 honda conversion s2 set up for track and an s2000 plus my pork. To cut a long and funny day short i spent most of the time with the psm off exploring the limits of the car in a safe environment and ended up posting the best time round his make shift coned circuit. With the psm on i was 3 seconds slower.
I have to say that at first i was very nervous about running with the psm off but from andy's point of view psm can still go wrong and if you can control the car with it off then with it on you have an improved chance of things not going wrong. I'm no driving god and yes i did spin and my tyres are almost shot but i was so surprised at how good the chassis is without the psm on. Andy does do a lot of porsche training so i'm sure people on here must have used him.
If you want to have some safe fun and explore the limits of your car contact him and no i dont have any financial interest in the company.
