Reasons to be pulled over by the Police - no. 1372

Driving to work this morning I was pulled over by a very pleasant policeman and his rather attractive wpc colleague on suspicion of having stolen my car. The reason given was quite reasonable – I had the rear screen in the boot and from a distance it could look as if I had smashed it to gain access.

Reminds me of a time in France 10 years ago when I was pulled over in my MGB by the Gendarmes (in a van! – MGBs are not the quickest of vehicles....) to hand back the headlight surround that had fallen off with me seeing a few miles previously.

I was pulled in my shiny new Evo XIII because I turned off the main road into the side road sharpish and for having a desirable car (to tea-leaves at least). I pointed out to the occifer that that's what Evo's did. He said fair enough and let me go remarking that I didn't look like a car-thief (45 yrs old and dressed in a suit)! He did ask some probing questions...where are you going...er just over there, and where do you live...er just back there!

Dont go to Portmadoc in your TAM!!!especially with cat stickers on your no plates it's a hanging offence there.well I thought so on first contact!
