Not wanting to sound like yer gran, but as many of us have planned putting up poles with various flags, this applies to you.
You may want to heed the weather reports as thunderstorms are predicted and lightning will take the easiest route to ground, be that your flag-poll or your tent frame.
Even plastic/non-conductive polls are at risk when wet.

Keep safe, and for god's sake keep the rain off the Alfas.

Quite a good point really, in an open field during a close storm these poles have a very big possibility of being hit, perhaps link it up to the BBQ for an instant well done steak? smile

Some of the storms have been majestic of late too. Practice last weekend was lucky but we had a good storm Friday and Monday's storm was an eight hour deluge. More forecast for today but at the moment only showers through till the race on Sunday. Perhaps the camp site will bve one big pool! On a serious note, be well and be safe.
