hi
service are one year or 12000 miles. tyres last about 12-18k and will cost 600 for a set.
brakes will last 24k and cost 500 a set fitted at an inde
if you are looking to buy, a porsche service hisory is a good point. also check the bell housing for signs of oil sweating from the rear main seal, a common fault on boxsters and 911's. if it needs repalcing its a gearbox out job
otherwise generally the cars are very strong but dont ignore the basics. make sure the serivce history stacks up and ensure the car itself is genuine.
for £250 your local porsche centre will carry out a 111 point inspection which can be invaluable when you dont know a huge amount about the car
if it passes, you will then be able to put the porsche warranty on. will cost you £895 a year but its cover is very extensive and great for peace of mind.
