Shuttle Launch Shots?

[Cuban]

Jumping over from the live Shuttle launch thread, anyone here ever been lucky enough to shoot a launch?

I've been to Kennedy many times, seen a few on the pad, but never a launch or landing...yet!
It's something I plan to do, so any tips would be welcome, but I'd love to see any Pher images.

Where's the live launch thread!!!!!

It one of my priorities in the next year or 2 to go over and watch a launch. A week in and around Florida and the space centre would be awesome too! Especially in one of Hertz's new Mustang GT500RE's

I've been lucky enough to see a couple of launches. The best was a night launch in September 1996. Awesome sight and awesome sound - when it gets to you.
This picture was taken from Space View Park in Titusville - it's at the end of Broad Street. It's STS 79 Shuttle Atlantis and it launched September 16, 1996, 4:54:49 a.m. EDT. If you get to watch a night launch drive down to Cocoa beach and watch the sunrise - magic.
