Just had the price list through the door this morning, Supercharger fitted is £6,990.00 and the Power Pack is £1,791.00 inc VAT, what do you think ???
For me I think the power pack would be my choice it includes a CAT back exhaust, ECU recalibration and a filter.

Well Wortec what can you do ???, Walkinshaw recon 26BHP more can you do more and have you any prices yet,I think the SC is a bit pricey, what do you think ???
Whose exhaust will sound the best ??? mind you I suppose it's a matter of personal taste.

Your opinions gentlemen please.

So much choice for you......But with both companies mentioned they are only offering one blower kit. We have 3+ supercharger/screwblower options available - all are fitted and backed with 12months warranty and 10 years supercharger installation experience. And start from £3500.00 upwards each blower kit option is specific to the car and the drivers requirements and comes with a remap car specific NOT a generic remap and before and after dyno reports to prove output figures. Sorry to confuse the situation for you...but there is always other options and this being an open forum for information about the cars etc....and not a rolling advert for some I could mention. Lets hope this thread does not get locked.

Good luck with your choice. PM if you need any advise

As I understand the Harrop blowers come with a three year warranty, not just 12 months.

Thank you kindly Greens for your comments and bringing up the subject of warranties........yes all our superchargers carry a 3 year warranty or 60,000 miles on screwblowers and 100,000 miles on Vortech - these warranties are on the actual 'Supercharger' Unit itself and 12 months warranty on installation and other related components....or are you saying that you are prepard to cover your complete Harrop Supercharger Unit, installation and the related components for 3 years warranty on your install.

Whilst we are chatting I was interested if you will be offering a Vauxhall warranty on ALL of the new VXR8 aftermarket upgrades???

Cheers
Nicola

Would be nice to see the answers to these questions, and I for one would like to see some BHP results, have been very happy with Wortec so far and I will be on the VXR8.

My supercharger is £3200 including vat, fitting, before and after dyno runs, fuel pump, injectors, k&n, fitting of the clutch and a valet mode programmed in the ecu from my own wiring. Also having LS7 clutch, lightweight flywheel, tubular headers and hsv cats. Roll on next friday.

Will get someone to post the dyno results for the usual ribbin. Already had the pre supercharger runs and was 350fwhp, I had a Wortec tune over the previous LSV tune which was also 350fwhp.

I want rwhp figures on both to plot over my other gather results from the www.

if I was stirring it I'd ask how you're getting past the lock Wortec put on your ecu Mind you I did tell Mark about a guy selling a couple of blank ecu's so I guess that's probably what you've done.

Did you get the LS7 clutch from the corvette club? If so where did you get the flywheel and get it lightened and balanced for use with the clutch? I've got one of the clutches lying in my hut but havent done anything yet about getting a flywheel to suit - and you do need a lightened one - with the LS7 flywheel attached I can hardly pick the damn thing up to move it about!!!

Hi mate, check with Roger, we looked into this and it appears the LS2 and LS7 flywheels are both ok to use. I think Roger was in the process of fitting it into his ute. I got an LS2 flywheel with mine, but it looks like the LS7 is either the same or just as acceptable. He will know if you can just bolt on the LS7 flywheel, Im pretty sure you can.

RapidGB are doing the work (I think it was a one-off first kit from capa or something and was offered to a few people a while back on a first come first serve basis), sourcing the flywheel and yes fitting the corvette heavy clutch. The hp being the same is good as no engine mods where carried out so it's consistant (6 months between the two), Wortec map got to the peak power in a different way which I why I had it done. I think the bonnet was taken off, not up/down, I don't know. Wortec did not lock my map (I think Paul just forgot to lock it) and Paul can back me up, no dodgy unlocking here. (so my Wortex map will be on ebay for £50 a pop soon, not, only joking)

No stirring here either, I use both companies as they both provide an excellent service, they don't get on too well, would be nice for us if they did (could have a beer, hug and a kiss - and that's not just because there is a lady fronting the posts now!) but it's not the end of the world. Hopefully I will get some prices from both for a new engine soon (800rwhp) for something to save and aim for.

Next on the list is getting my 8 wheels satin black, spraying me spare mirrors, door handles, fog lamp, fuel filler and the plastic interior and, don't kill me for this, advertising on the car, and my wifes and me scoot.

Just getting back to the previous question......are any of these kits/parts approved by Vauxhall and are they going to be covered under manufacturer's warranty?

Are there any conclusive HP figures for any of the kits yet or is all finger in the air stuff at the moment?

I think the harrop one is 500, mine should be 520+ but it won't have the low down grunt of the harrop though. Warranty, not sure, my car is way out of the standard vauxhall warranty as has done 82k so not that bothered.
