I want the opposite, I need a towbar for the jeep so I can tow the monaro to the holiday location but can't justify buying a trailer for once a year. Anyone want to lend me one for five weeks for a fee? (a trailer that is)
You could also rent one from a van hire type place.tzh said:
Lindens? forgive my ignorance, new owner n all that. have they got a web address?

forgot to add this last week when returned from Oz...
I don't know if any use but got this diagram from Holden in Sth Melb showing the std Holden mount towbar. Dan the spares man said they hardly ever sell them as the Holden one was exxy compared to the hundreds of aftermarket installed ones in Oz. prob cheap compared to UK though?

Nothing stopping you importing a bar and fitting it yourself, but no towbar company in the country will touch one as Monaro`s are not approved to tow in the UK.
Sorry forgot who you were, went broadband and lost my dial up email`s.
IO understood that the Monaro was "Low volume" import and didn't have to go through the full type approval process? Or am I wrong? So if it is approved for towing here (which it must be if there is a factory towbar) then what is different there?Sorry forgot who you were, went broadband and lost my dial up email`s.
