Waved goodbye to my Fury this afternoon.

After a 12 month build and 3 years trackdaying I decided it was time for a change.

Miss it already.

Furyless.

Sadly, no.

Reasonably confident it would have pulled easy 11's though.

Having tried several times and also having seen quite a few 1/4 mile results on various websites, I think 11's is optimistic for a stock bike engine's car.

The best I managed with the blade installed in my BEC was a 13.4 @ 105mph, and with the injected R1 12.9 @ 111mph. A friend's ZX12 Locost managed 12.5 @ 115mph on the same day with a Megabusa slightly slower, so to get into the 11's I think you'd need a turbo / NOS on there.

Im suprised you didnt sell your car more quickly though, seemed an absolute bargain. I wish Id been in the market as Id have snapped it up.

Shame,

At this rate it's going to be another 3 years before I truly 'finish' mine. Getting it through SVA and legally on the road is just the start. I've sworn never to sell mine unless I can replace it with something just as manic and 2s faster to 100mph.

I'd be interested to know what you replace it with.

Thats exactly the problem , there is absolutely nothing that will be that much better, without spending a SHEDLOAD of cash. You would have to be looking at Radicals or similar to go that much faster again, and I definately dont have that sort of cash.

Hence the reason for my return to offroading - adrenalin at 5 mph !

oh, and the fact that Im working for a Lotus dealer as well. wink
