Just when I thought it was safe to get back in my car....
There's a sloshing sound coming from the passengers side down near the footwell. It seems to occur when I am accelerating but not all the time. I've had the heater on recently due to the cold and had the coolant drained and refilled but it's still happening. Any ideas other than a blockage in the water/coolant?

When stationary, try opening the door and moving it around a bit. If the door makes sloshing sounds, then its water in the door itself (which is pretty common). Check that the drain holes near the bottom of the door are clear and the water should drain out.

Don't panic on this one.

I think there are loads of posts on exactly what this is, but it is something along the lines of air in the cooling system and should be easy to fix yourself - check other posts.

If its any consolation, mine has just started doing this again after about a year (or was it just fixed at the last service - can't remember).

I noticed this morning that mine has started doing this. It was wet when I got in it this morning and put it down to water in the doors.

Will write it in the notepad though, for the 1K service!

Ah-ha!!! Could this be the same as a kind of gurgling noise I am getting? Sounds like it comes from under the dash on the passenger side under acceleration/some cornering.
It happened last week and I moved the heater to hot and let the fans run on full for a while and it seemed to cure it, however it is back today, thing is I didn't get a chance to check the coolant level over the weekend and I wouldn't mind betting it's a tad low!
If someone finds the thread in question can they point me to it please?
