Two words and a number - Forza Motorsport 2 !!!!

If you like racing games this is a must, technically brilliant and graphically brilliant but best of all you get to tune, race and generally thrash any car you like most importantly the mighty 6.o VXR.

any other fans?

what on, the xbox 360?

is it real as most games are not that realistic and aimed at kids?

If so then the kids will be loosing the 360 then.

wicked isn't it? My first race I chose the Silver VXR to match my car and won my first exhibition race with it. Big game though, I played it yesterday for three hours maybe and barely scratched the surface. I've tried out most of the different modes and played one race online and it is the best online service for any game I"ve played yet. very fast to find matches and no lag even over wifi. the game has incredible depth ( like gran turismo) for people who like to spend time tinkering with the cars but also for those who just like to throw on upgrades and race (me). I don't know at this stage if I will play it through the whole way.
I wonder how long it will be until I can afford to buy the monaro for my garage. I did find it surprising at their choice of cars, no M5 or M6, the previous two M3's but not the original which is seen to be the best by many, nothing from australia ( other than rebadged monaro's UK and gto's from US ( the oz ford falcon fpv should be there along with the classics from the late 60's if they included 60's americana)), AMG mercedes is there but no Alpina bmw. I know they can't put every car in the world in the game but there always seems to be a preponderance of Asian cars most of which are crap to drive.

It's a simulator style car game instead of the likes of PGR etc which are more arcade based...just wish it had been released before I moved over to Germany as had to pay 57.99euro for my copy frown

I've the VXR tuned as far as she can go in the game with LS7 transplant and every available option to take her to something like 750 ponies, added some bodykit parts too just to tart her up a little as well (I know the look won't be to everyone's taste)....

A couple of quick snaps from testing at Laguna Seca...

And after that it was time to take her out drifting at Silverstone...

With me being over here on my own for now in a wee studio apartment and it raining from lunchtime Friday through to late yesterday evening it meant plenty of time to sit back, relax and play the game with a few beers...so needless to say I pretty much did nothing else on Saturday other than have pee/food stops every so often...I've my driver level up to 28 now, career mode is 34% complete, and now have most of the races open to me, have around 40 cars in the garage with 15-20 of them tuned fairly highly, and a few tuned as far as they can go - like the Tommy Kaira R34 Skyline which is now rated U999 (the highest possible rating on the game excluding R1 and R2 cars)...

Wee tip, once you've some of the endurance races open to you - tune a car to the wall that will still be elligible to race in it (i.e. if class C then take it right to the limit of almost being a class B car) and then to the edurance race - maybe 30 laps or so but the payout is in excess of 100,000cr which means plenty of cash to tune more cars, and the car prizes for such races are wicked too...

And as for the Munkee Ink logo's, don't ask, it's a wee bit of random humour from years back that I still use these days wink

Forza 1 was good probably my favourite. I must have been round the ring 200 times.
