Yes why do you ask that Dave?

I now have another issue when driving the throttles a little weird?
The symptons are i`ll be driving take my foot off the gas then put it back on and there a pause and loss of power not a splutter or missfire, if i hold the pedal half way it will kick in after about 3-5 seconds. The car idles around 800rpm ive cleaned the stepper re sealed the stepper housing...re sealed the plenum to the trumpet base...checked the leads...all hoses connected. I also tried screwing the adjusting screw tight and winding back 2.5 turns then re set the ecu.

any suggestions

How did you cure the 3000 rpm idle? To me that suggests either the throttle isn't closing properly or you have an air leak. An air leak could also cause other transient problems. You will also need to adjust the throttle pot so the ECU gets the correct reading at idle.

The 3000 rpm idle was on the 72mm plenum ive now switched back....
It cant be an air leak ive double cheaked everywere my fingers have been.

Could the co screw cause this?

How do you adjust the throttle pot?

(memory kicks in) A plug extender came off last night and the lead was arcing against the manifold could the lead be damaged and cause this?
