Was absolutely brilliant. Shaping up to be a cracking season.
Don't think Pedrosa is a match for either Rossi or Stoner, just seems too easy to bully him plus he can never outbrake them. He just seems to be lacking that edge for me.
Not sure whats going on with Hayden either. 36 seconds down on his teammate on the same bike, he's nowhere this season

Great race but the Yamaha is down on top speed top both the Ducatii and Honda, only Rossi brilliance has that bike at the front.
Stoner taking the pressure well though, a vast improvement on his crash ridden season last year.
Hayden, just not that good IMO, had his season last year with easily the best bike and Rossi having a string of failures, dont expect him to challenge for the title again

To be fair to Nicky, he has come from SBK racing and his style suited the 990's. He has no experience on 250 machines, which seems to be a requirement to do well on the 800's. Given time, I think we'll see Nicky adapt to the new bikes, although i don't ever see him as a title threat again, i think he might win a few races & certainly worthy of a place in Moto GP.A Great race...a proper tussle over the last few laps....hat`s off too Stoner, He sustained the pressure & responded with some lovely controlled aggressive riding of his own.......Yamaha & michelin have been busy to catch the Ducati package it seems. Just confirms the no 1 motorsport spot that moto gp has...is there better racing on the box...?

Im going to play devils advocate here and ask the question......
Would Stoner be on top of the pile IF the Duke didnt have its speed advantage ?
I agree he has come of age since being in the Duke team, but cant help but think the speed advantage is whats beating Vale.
Witness Vale outbraking him at the end of the straights, and turning insode him on a variety of occasions.
Anyways, enough of Stoner/Vale, how about Hopper ? seems to be really staring to come together in the Suzy pits now.

Probably not, but then the Yam has advantages elsewhere, better traction, better acceleration (but not top speed) and braking (from tripple braced forks?) the thing is you can do very little defensively to a higher top speed, where as Vales advatages can be blocked

How many times did Vale cock up once passed though, running wide and letting Stoner back through? Stoner did not falter at any point and looked way more composed & proffesional the Vale, dont get me wrong I am a Vale fan through and through, but i think Stoner is going to take him Witness Vale outbraking him at the end of the straights, and turning insode him on a variety of occasions.
just as long as his team / bike do not let him down Get Hopper on the other YAM. Vermuleun is always way behind Hopper, and Hopper is always the fastest and higher finishing Suzi (the last wet race being a rare exception). Like Mick Doohan said Chris is fast but not aggressive enough in the dry. Hooper is Brilliant and on a Yam would be there at the end with the lead 2 or 3 exactly what Vermelen / Edwards aren't!
A case in point. I really want to see Suzuki do well and win in the dry but Hopper on a Yam would be better for him. Get Melandri on the Suzi (works team which is what he deserves and Hayden on the other one).

The main Yamha advantage is Rossi, no one else would have that bike where it is with the regularity he does
