Its nearly festival time again...so whos coming along ? post your fav photo from last yr as well ! Oh this photo taken from my...er full race(repmobile) Vectra in the depths of winter lol , for your info...Lewis is coming , Jenson , Damon , Hill , Fittipaldi to name but a few !

Hi All

Ok never been before so I have a couple of questions
Will an admission only ticket be worth while i.e.: can I walk around and see the action.
Best place to stand and see the cars coming past.
Does it get a bit less crowded up by the Rally course?
Is there any camping near by?

Goodwood IS AMAZING ! the entry ticket allows you to wander to most areas except grandstands and VIP areas , be warned it has become a victim of its own success and everyone will be clamouring for the currently famous drivers autographs , what you have to do is tune your eyes for people like Sir Jack Brabham , Alan McNish ,Dan Gurney , Derek Bell etc and you can just easily walk up and ask for an autograph or ask (sensible) questions and they will talk to you , I went straight into the pits last year and found myself next to Marty (Brundle), some inevitably get a bit flustered by all the heckling so be cool and respectful to the drivers and everyone will enjoy it, Alan McNish btw TOP bloke !
Best place to stand , wander up and down ! the startline is always good but if you go to the turning area later on you,ll get photos of the drivers getting in and out of the cars , also those little moments you get when drivers have a crack with each other before getting in the cars again , (lastyr Nigel Mansell and Richard Petty)
Take a small rucksack for drinks , souvenoirs and don,t forget a pen and anything you want autographed (someone took a Cortina glovebox for Alan Mann to do !)
Hotels , Campsites are all listed on a local touristboard website Sussex something or other I will try to find , sorry never made it to the rally stage yet !

definately going to this one, will be camping at the venue this year, expensive and had to book it back in february but well worth it!

Will be there for the entire weekend, booked the 3 days off when the dates came out !! I live 1 1/2 miles down the road and its looking good up there i must say, will snap a picture of the feature display in a minute
