Are you talking about the 1930s M type or the 1960 to 1980 version?
The latter are available from about a grand for a basket case up to about £5k for a pristine version. Round Wheel arch (1971-72) are prettier, but structurally less sound.
The only snag with midgets is the tiny boot and the A series engine and lack of a 5th gear or an overdrive. The rubber bumper post 75 cars had the triumph 1500 block in them with a marina box, but weren't any quicker and look dire.
Some enthusiasts have dropped K series blocks in there, making the car a bit more everyday usuable on modern roads.
Midgets also rust like you wouldn't believe unless waxoyled and some of the sill work / castle sections are difficult to weld.
Buy a B instead - more room, more comfort, better on the motorways, similar handling, similar economy and better performance.
