Has anybody got a loom diagram of the standard cd player wiring? I need to cut my loom to adapt it for a kenwood but not sure which pin on the 2 oblong shaped plugs does what?

Nope, fraid not, thats the standard plug most cars use, i've got that lead ready to go in, but the wires on that plug need to be connected to the wires presently in the tvr loom, and i have no idea which one is which.

Sorry Charlie, mine has the ISO plugs in the loom, they must have started adding them at some point. I don't have the car at the moment, otherwise I'd get the colour codes off them for you. Perhaps someone else could?

Hi Charlie, have you looked at getting an adaptor?

I know this might seem like a long shot, but TVR's tend to use a lot of stock parts and I would have expected the plug for the stereo to be a standard fitment. If it's a Ford or GM jobby head down to Halfrauds and see what they have in their stereo dept. I needed one for my old Saab once and didn't want to hack away at all the wiring and they had the correct Saab connector to DIN in stock.

Yep thats what I was going to do, and send a test siganl to the speakers to make sure the wires to them are correct, then test for the permanent 12V and the switched one, then the others are either unecessary or obvious.

Mine's a '98 model and although it has two plugs one is the speaker connections and the other is the power connections as per the link below:

You'll notice that the small locator block in the LHS is offset on one (A - power)and central on the other (B - speakers) so that they align correctly.
