Ferrari F40 parade at Silverstone today - loads of pics

Hi there,

During this weekends Ferrari Racing Days event at Silverstone there have been a number of parades planned to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Ferrari and also the 20th Anniversary of the Ferrari F40. The F40 parade took place today with no less than 43 cars in attendance.

I arrived at the track at around 8.30am and there were already a few F40's on display. By about 11.00am there were loads: -



The cars all made there way to the National Straight at around 12 midday to assemble for the parade.







I cannot put into words what a superb sight this was, 43 Red Ferrari F40's all parked in one small space. If you say each cars value is £200,000 then there was £8.6 Million pounds worth in the parade.









At around 1.00pm the cars took to the track, it was a very slow parade although some drivers did hold back a bit so they could accelerate hard to catch up with the rest of the parade.









Will never get over today, certainly one of the best days out I have ever had.

Loads more pics from today event to come including the Ferrari FXX's out on track, Four Enzos on display, and not one but two Bugatti Veyrons.

Agreed...but just imagine what it sounded like!!!!! I would soooo like that engine in the back of my car!

I saw one driving from Ridgemond to Flitwick, yesterday afternoon. It was impressive enough to see one!

What I find interesting is that they are all running their original style alloy wheels. Not for a moment saying they shouldn't be, but I just thought that maybe some of the owners might have wanted to be a little different? Perhaps?

ETA: oops - pace car on fourth picture to the end isn't!
