It's a bit hit and miss, but generally not too bad.

Apps/ games etc could be run using Vista's compatibility mode, however on the whole the trade has not caught up with M/Soft yet. For example it was only 2 weeks ago that a version of I Tunes was released which runs on vista. I'm waiting for some drivers for a netgear NAS, which netgear are saying will be ready sometime in 07!!!!

IMHO vista was rushed through, so M/S didn't have egg on their face as usual, when releasing new o/s's!
plus i believe that they played their hand veryh close to their chest this time with their code, and didn't let 3rd party's privy to them as early in the o/s development, as they have with others.

I even had a brand new MS laser keyboard and mouse to go with my new copy of Vista, but the wheel on the mouse didn't work with Vista - at the time, on the MS website, stated that their OWN mouse drivers had compatibility issues with their own new OS!

I could go on for hours about the times M/S have shot themselves in the foot with their O/S releases....you would get bored after about 5 hours though!
