Are you supposed to be able to see the low beam when you point the car against the garage wall? Now we can argue TVR vs Porsche till the cows come home but TVR headlights seem to suck big time

I know about the LE conversion that Del fitted but has anyone else swapped out the standard size units for something better? Surely lens design has moved on a bit in the ten years since my car was built?
I've either got to replace the headlights or be on a curfew for the rest of my life....
What's hot and what's not for headlights these days?
One option could be the "Brighter lights Kit" from Master Beer, aka Modwise. This takes a feed from the startermotor giving the lights a bit more amps. The result is brighter lights, when you park next to a car with standard lights the difference is remarkable. You could go for SE headlights, or a HID conversion. Rumour has it that the HID conversion is not legal in the UK.

7" lights are standard on the SE and take an H4 bulb, which means that when you have full beams on you get the benefit of full beam from the headlights and the driving lights. Consequently, on full beam the nightlife is lit up like Wembley Stadium.
On dipped beam, the 7" are better than standard Griffs, but are improved even more by the addition of Vision Plus or equivalent bulbs.
All in all a definite improvement over the standard. The thing that makes night driving difficult for me is the glare from other drivers, because we are so low and the glare from the fascia of the (godawful) Pioneeer head unit!!!

Do a lot of night driving in mine with the std light Dia. using Halfords Brilliance Plus which are suposed to be 50% brighter with no additional load on the wiring (they work very well).
The dip beam is very susceptable to the condition on the perspex cover tho, if that is poor condition or dirty visibility drops radically.
