doing the clutch on the 4.0 griff. ? about the Gear linkage

right its that time again, car up in the air and a New Clutch for the old girl. i got the car up in the air i got the bible what give me a bit of information i have done every thing that its says. and tonight hopping to drop the gear box out. but there is one question on my mind the Gear linkage. the gear box is the rover one. Will the Gear linkage come out with the gear box or is there some thing i have to do. I taken the gear knob off and leather around the gear stick.

A couple of things I can think from my 'explorations' under the car:
- under the gear lever is a rubber gaiter. Its attached to the car so you shouldn't have any problems there but just be careful not to tear it as you drop the box.
- The reverse light switch sits just under the gearshift mechanism and the wiring runs up one of the chassis diagonal tubes. Make sure you have those wires disconnected.

I'm very interested how you are doing this, can you write up the general jist of what you are doing.
