If you're buying off the peg, leathers are like lids: different manufacturers suit different body types. I'm a fat . I use Alpinestars.

If you're only going to wear them on track, and you're just doing trackdays (ie not racing) why spend that much money? I threw £300 at a hein gericke two piece suit and later found it had won a Ride best buy on account of its quality construction - you don't always get better quality with the big name brands. I went for a 2 piece suit as I wear the trousers on the road, with a textile jacket.

What sort o size are you? Might have just the right thing if you are 6ft and about 12-13 stone. I had a £1400 set of Crowtree 1 piece made 4 years ago and wore them 3 times before having to give up riding for a while. Now 4 years later and they are a tad tight (to say the least) but they are the dogs danglies, you will find it difficult to buy better and certainly won't get better off the peg.
£550 and there yours. Black with a little silver in them on stretch panels etc. Top class armour in them as well.
Then again if your 5ft 4 inches and 22 stone they wont fit anyway
