Basically can you get sent down for a year for driving whilst disqualified?

Punishment for driving whilst disq under Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988
on summarily trial (Mags Court) is 6 months imp and or fine of £5,000.
As Tuscan Rat states most probably a persistent offender and was dealt with for other charges at the same time with impr awarded likewise (Consec) to make up the 12 months.
Or was dealt with at Crown Court.
