Engine noises - not good ones!!

Was out in the Griff yesterday and my engine is making a strange noise under full throttle, it sounds like a popping noise (quite an alarming one) and starts to happen around 3500rpm, it also seems quite reluctent to rev, however it doesnt seem to be down on power

Any ideas ?

maybe your precats have broken up restricting the exhaust?

wheres the popping coming from?

Had the griff out for another run today to try and diagnose this problem, and maybe the popping os more of a bang under full load and is coming from the engine

I also think there seems to be a bit of a rattle from the engine at 3500+ rpm

Its booked into dreadnaught on Tuesday - so fingers crossed it wont be too expensive!

After the weekend high of running in convoy with a Mclaren SLR, 3 Ferraris, 3 Porsches and 2 other TVR's Im gutted the engine is suffering!! Maybe I shouldnt have been trying so hard to keep up with the 360 Challange Stradale in front of me!!
