Need a self cert mortgage for a £250k house purchase. Doesn't need to be discounted rates etc, as want no redemption penalties.

About £4800 by my guesstimate. Interest only.

I was offered 5.6% if I could confirm my income against 8% on a self cert, the difference would have cost about £500 per month extra on interest only. So I sent my accountant's contact details to the mortgage company, as instructed, and they approved the mortgage without even contacting him. Go figure.
