944/924S mpg

Anyone here know what sort of MPG and tank range you should expect from an 8v 944 or 924S?

Thinkign of gettign another and one of the biggest annoyances of my old car was it only had about 180 miles range! Don't know if that's due to it's condition making it thirsty or perhaps the 924S had a smaller tank than the '44?

968 has 75 liters, which get me anywhere from 350 - 450 miles out of a tank.

Used to get 27 mpg out of my old 2.7 944 with "normal" driving.

FWIW its possible to fit the 968's larger plastic tank into a 944.

almost all my driving is round town so I get a shocking 260 miles out of one tank of Vpower in the 968. Suppose that equates to about 18-22mpg. In the 8v 944 I used to get 300 miles out of a slightly smaller tank, on 95RON, roughly 22-24mpg. But either way the drive is/was always worth it

Think my old 924S did low 20s and about 180 miles to a tank. I can afford the MPG, but it was a PITA stopping every 5 minutes to fill it up.

Theres a bloke in the classifieds who reckons his does 40mpg

Had a good look on google and can't find a figure for tank size, presume it's the same as the VW engined 924's but I can't even find that.

I used to get about 25mpg from my 8v 2.5 1985 944.

You AGAIN! Have you asked the same question about an MX5 as well?

I am pretty sure you have asked the same of an S2 before. That's to say, about 99% sure ... i get between 17 and 28 mpg across a tank, depending upon the driving.

Actually, I've already got an MX5

Trying to fit my bike in it isn't fun.

I'm selling my ZS and thinking of replacing it with something a little more entertaining over the winter.

I've got an 8V 944 and I'm sure I get around 30mpg in average conditions.
Maybe I don't drive it hard enough!
On a motorway/country road run of 200 - 300 miles I'm sure it does 35,36 ish.
