Need to move some money

Hopefully a quick question. I need to move about 120k£ from the UK to a Barbados bank account at first carib bank in order to get a house built. Is it reasonable to simply use the IBAN acct number and do a transfer, or is there any other implications ?

As far as I know Barbados does not care that you bring money into the country.

Thoughts ? ( and no 419 requests please, I've already given them enough ! )

I thought all such things were done with briefcasefuls of used twenties?

When I transferred money for property purchase abroad I saved about £2,000 on moving £100k compared with my normal bank by using these:

So I guess it's a case of checking the rates and doing a compare between them and just instructing one ?

didnt do this last times I bought a house, I just used a debit card. I'm sure that was an expensive way to do it, but it was a spur of the moment thing ( a long time ago and very profitable ! )
