must admit I thought that but didn't want to start one of my

tantrums again!
but then - why spend all that money on what can only ever be a fake, no matter how good a quality fake the car is when you could probably have bought THE REAL THING for just a bit more or even a little less and then people wouldn't have to get very

i remember talking to guy at a carrera sport day at goodwood that had built a countach replica, he proudly told me most people couldn't tell the difference and the running costs and insurance were much cheaper.
i asked how much it had cost he replied 35k so far.
he didn't seem to realise in those days that would nearly have bought a genuine car, not mint but good working order.
oh well he was happy

I passed that Countach as well, didn't get a proper look, in fact didn't even see the wheel. Odd day however as also saw in the space of 1 mile a Mclaren F1 heading westbound on the A40, followed not far behind by a Murcielago and then 5 mins later the Countach. They are probably all posting somewhere that they spotted a lovely looking Cerbera
Nice to see a Macca out on the road, first one I have seen in public I think - pretty sure it was a GTR as well as looked to be in the old Harrods Racing colours Yellow and Green.

I assume that'll be the one that was featured in Autocar a few months ago, Ex-McLaren employee.A race car made road legal. Looked incredible!

defo a suade interior...it was horrible...im a wood and leather man myself. Also had a spoiler and i did look for a sign that said sv or anthing similar but it just said lambo countach (but spelt properly). it didnt look like anything had pranged it just though the rearaxle collapsed on the left as you look from the rear. obviusly not that good a kit car!

I see there's a replica Countach on ebay right now. Only one photo of it, but a bargain at...wait for it.... £53,995
No reserve though...
words fail me, beyond belief - I know of a real Countach QV that has about £0.36 needing spending on it but which sold (LCUK Member to LCUK Member) for less than that and the new owner won't be the one having to 'defend' the fake car when people comment on it
No reserve though...
