How much would I get for....

Chaps & ladies,

Now more or less decided (per my prev post) that I'm going to go for the Sigma 10-20 lens for my D100.

Alongside this I have the kit lens, a Nikon 24-85 f/3.5-4.5 ED AF-S, and a Sigma 50-500.

....now, reading a few other posts, should I be tempted to seriously look at the Nikon 17 - 55 AF-S f/2.8G IF-ED Dx?...per Yellabelly's thread?

If so, I would then have a nice amount of overlap with the 3 lenses (rather than a hole between the Sigma @ 20mm and the Nikon @ 24mm)..plus I've read its a cracking lens.

If I do, theres no point in me hanging onto my Nikon 24-85. I have no experience in selling lenses on...do shops do part-ex?...how much am I likely to get versus selling privately? Any other recommendations?

If you can be ar5ed to set up an e bay account and a paypal account, Sell via e bay and put a sensible minimum ask. Tis really the best way to shift stuff.

Once you've done one, you'll do more. It's only weird the first time (like lying to your Bank Manager).

yeah, have got a fleabay acct with PPal...unfortunately, i tend to buy rather than sell with it, much to SWMBO's annoyance!
