Le Mans week: Rivalries heat up

The battle has begun in earnest...

Rumour has it that this Aston Martin DB9 snapped languishing in a Le Mans car park belongs to Aston Martin Racing team principal George Howard-Chappell. His team of DBR9s will square up to the Corvette C6Rs for the third year in succession this weekend. The score currently stands at two – nil to the USA.

Apparently, he hurt his back at last weekend’s test weekend and couldn’t drive the V12 grand tourer back to blighty.

And then some Corvette racing team mechanics spotted it…

I have to say I hope the Aston's have a bit of luck this year, however both the Astons and Corvettes probably deserve to win.
