Here's one for the PH massif....

2000 GT3 Mk1 Comfort spec, artic silver, full history, mint, 42,000 miles, LHD, selling with a 6 month warranty & 12 months MOT. No one's touching it at £36k.

Any ideas why not?

Is the warranty OPC?

Sorry bout this but I think it's just a bit too expensive.

I know it's a GT3 , special car , p&j and all that but there's quite a few RHD's for just a few squid more.

I presume yours is the one selling thru Paul Stephans .. It really is a lovely looking car.

I bet you you would get 40k on the continent.

Prices over there seem even stronger than here.

I was going to say that!

The price in the uk is just too close to a RHD.

(and can I say, the europeans are more enthusiasts?)

Especially with the larger fuel tank, so you don't have to miss track time, off in the search for fuel smile

Seems a reasonable enough price level to me...good luck with the sale smile

If it is the car at Paul Stephens, that doesn't have any form of aircon at all. That's what put me off going to have a look at it. That surely has to impact the value to a significant degree?

There are 2003 RHD GT3s going for £45K. LHD is your first problem and the price in general of all 996's is your second. Note that TTs can be had from £38k nowadays.

I don,t think that the price of 996s will impact GT3s - if you want a GT3 an 996 is not a substitute and nor is a 993 TT. I also am not sure that there,s any value in comparing an lhd Mk1 GT3 with a more expensive RHD Mark 2 GT3.

However, when RHD Mk 1 GT3s are available for sub £40k and in some case for very close to £35k, one has to price an equivalent lhd car at a level to attract buyers on price, especially when that car doesn,t have what (IMHO) is an essential option - aircon.

If it is the one at Paul Stephens, I looked at it very seriously a couple of months ago.

If I may, I recall the following which put me off the car:

1. The front windscreen has a quite a large imperfection in the glass.
2. A warning light went off on the dashboard
3. The car felt a little light under acceleration, and perhaps needed to have the wheels re-aligned and balanced?
4. There was also a gap in its history if I recall? Not something that concerned me in the least, the car looked sound. Its just the thought that I would have been slapped down when the time came for me to sell.

Otherwise a nice tidy car and Paul was a complete gentleman. Without those experiences, I might have considered it more.
