ECU Remaps & Chip Upgrades

Is there any benefit after all the hype of advertising / articles etc of getting an ECU remap and chip upgrade to a 330CI...?? Is there going to be a significant improvement - by say 20bhp, as the ad quotes..??

I got 13bhp extra from a Superchip in a 1.9 E36 3 series.

I had my 330ci remapped, made very little differene really, it was better but not 1k better, personally i'd spend the money elsewhere
