I would be interested to know if anyone has either of these for the Cerbera as I have the facility to scan them in and convert to pdf's for distribution to other owners on disc. Please note this is not a business exercise but rather an attempt to help those like me who would like to be able to research the basics THEN ask the forum for the detail required to handle some of the DIY jobs. I would of course be prepared to pay for postage and a free copy of the disc(s) would be returned with the manuals.
Cheers folks

I tried to buy a Cerbera parts manual on ebay at the weekend. It went for £127 which was way outside my budget. I would be very interested in any copy you can make in the future.

I also bid on that, and the previous one about a week prior. I have sent an email to the buyer asking to borrow it (may want paying, but I am prepared to), so will have to see if they respond.

Suffolkfox, if you manage to arrange this, Tam Lin and I would be very interested in a CD copy.

Edited to add: Oh, just thought. Do these things crop up quite often on Ebay, then?

Sgirl - two copies in the last couple of weeks but other than that I have not seen any in the last 4 months. It's like all things on ebay, you have to keep checking.

What about a consortium to bid for the next one and then it gets copied and distributed to members of said consortium?

I've received an email from the winner of the ebay auction (from Holland), who says he is prepared to lend the parts manual to me once he receives it, so I will keep everyone posted. If that does not come off, the consortium idea seems a good one. I have set up my ebay account to email me if another one comes available.

The consortium would definitely be a good idea, otherwise we might all end up bidding against one another!

I have a parts manual, service manual and full TSB's since 1999 on the Cerbera and chimera. The parts manual seems to include Grffs and chimera's as well. It took me a while to find. I hav'nt had it all long and I had planned to put it all on one DVD. Waiting for an appropriate holiday though as its well over 500 pages! Strange cos my local dealer told me there wasn't a manual. I guess that means there's no problem with copyright then.

Julian64, do you want to do the compiling or do you want me to. Part of the reason for the thread is I am picking up an auto sheet feed scanner this week (we need it for my practice) and the manuals are normally loose leaf hence saving on all the mucking about changing sheets. I also have the software to write direct to pdf's which, if my calcs are correct should fit on a CD (for those that do not have DVD units yet). Feel free to email me via my profile to discuss further. Looks like we might be onto a live one folks

I would imagine most Cerb owners would like a copy of the manual (i certainly would!!)

I have access to some pretty fast scanners at work if required. If i can be off assistance just shout.

I have an industrial photocopier at work which is meant to 'fire and forget' but needs nice crisp pages, and was snagging every 3-4 pages. I have adobe to covert to pdf, which would be the easiest cos I only have to copy a disc after but initially getting it all scanned is a pain. The light at the end of the tunnel might be a set of two HP sheet feed scanners due for arrival at work within the next month designed for duplex scanning of patient records. I'll try to use them to scan.
