50k miles, silver, dark interior – history, loads of parts replaced during the recent years:- clutch, brakes, turbo’s. Will get it professionally inspected.

– is £40k a good price ??

cheers

We sold a 54k, met black with black leather 1997 MY last year for 50k - with a 25k engine and box overhaul too!!

40k is right for that car, get it inspected as you said, you wont regret buying though

For 25k you could of had a RUF Turbo R upgrade, including bottom end refurb (basically a new engine) and still had 7k left for RUF to do the gearbox and install their suspension!

if the condition is excellent then I'd say it's a very good price looking at the ads recently.....if it's a 1997 car then even better price.

you'll love it!

Seems like a good price for that mileage, considering 993C2S with similar miles would be around mid £30k's.

RUF charge 27k Euros (£18k) to convert a standard 993 turbo to Turbo R spec. That includes all bearings in the bottom end, adding new RUF heads & cams, new hybrid turbos, new ECU, new RUF exhaust system with race cats. That price is all in including labour. I know because I had a quote last year from them smile

Turbos replaced at such low miles? I'd get the car checked thoroughly in case it looks like it's had a hard life or as if it looks like more miles than indicated on the clock.

Turbo's normally last 50/60k miles, so that looks about right

I replaced my turbos at 51k miles because I had the 450bhp kit installed. The original k16 turbos were perfect after the 51k miles. No reason why the shouldn't last much longer.

I had mine changed at about 48k, it was Bob Watson who told me that was about right. The point I'm making is that you should not be suspicious of a car just because it's had the turbo refurbished at circa 50k.

Spoke to the gentleman selling the car – very nice man, helpfull and fully forthcoming with all information.

Unfortunately he pulled the ad because he thought there was a problem with the car (but this turned out to be complete non issue) however as part of getting it checked over the garage informed him he was massively underselling it – therefore it needs to be more money

The Turbo’s were replaced for GT2 items as part of a performance upgrade (exhaust, ecu etc)

It's only worth what someone will pay for it; if you're willing to wait make him an offer and if it doesn't sell at his price he may come back to you at your price...

...what he said.....a bird in the hand...you never know your luck. Even if you offer him £41k it might tempt him.
