Under Body Paint...Final Stages....
Discussion
Hi All,
Just after some advice and opiniions on painting the underside of the body.
Now the main area right under the body (Floor Pan) is painted in a gloss black finish which i am going to keep in line with.
The sills and wheel areches seem to be finished in a textured paint. I assume this is to help prevent stone chips as it appears to be quite thick.
Does anyone know what this paint is...?
Cheers
Andy

As far as I know, it's nothing special simply black spray on wheel-arch black as sold in Halfords etc. by "Underseal" (a brand of Hammerite now I think) Just had a look at Hammerite's web site, they own the Waxoyl brand too. They have something called Underbody seal. It's what I've sprayed onto my wheel arches a few times just to black it all up nicely and finish it off. I seem to remember it gets softened by Wayoyl so you may want to finish this off before you spray the arches.

Waxoyl softens the Underbody seal?I shall have a look on the hammerite and Waxoyl website and see what is about.
