Hi Guys,
Trekking down to Le Mans tomorrow, and was thinking about doing the 'traditional' N138 route rather than the boring Autoroute. If I decide to do this, where is the best place to join the N138? I'm assuming that somewhere south of Rouen it will be nicely signposted- is this the case?
Cheers in advance, James

If you follow the signs for Alencon then it will take you down the side of the marshalling yards in Rouen and spit you out on the N138!

We may see you on there, look out for the Red 968 with a Grey Ninga in tow....

We're going to be heading down the N138 around mid day (Hopefully)

Some people may think this is sacrelidge, but I think the relative virtures of the n138 and the new autoroute are down to personal preferences and what time you're traveling (i.e. if you can make the difference of getting there while it's still light to put the tent up etc.)

I suspect we'll end up on the autoroute...

We did it last year and from the 8am (UK time) ferry we got to Houx Annexe around 3pm (French Time), only one car in our convoy and only 2 stops (around half hour in total!)

I'm taking the ClubArnage 'Le Mans (not just) for Dummies page 85 route.

Looks good, staying off the main roads, bypassing Rouen.

There was a thread for it somewhere on Pistonheads.
