Please would someone of less advanced years explain to me what this Wiki thing is?

I vaguely understand there is something called 'wikipedia' which presumably is something other than a weird sexual fetish involving wearing one's baseball headgear backwards (which I am informed is 'wikid, innit?').

I didn't know either and I'm certainly not of "less advanced years" but if you click on Start Topic there is a help screen which will explain about the Wiki thing.....
